Tweed Valley Ospreys
Yeahh! The ospreys chicks are doing really well! We had one circling above the house today before heading off to the Tweed. They can be heard from the flat calling on mum and dad to come back with food. Check out the visitor centre at Glentress for live footage of the nests in Cardrona Forest and Glentress.
The planning and preparation for TweedLove, a week long celebration of bike riding and good times is well under way.
Hawaii Tweed and Celluloid Tweed are being held on the evenings of Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th July. They promise to be fantastic evenings and whether you are a mountain biker or not, it would be great if everybody could make it along, say hello and see what mountain biking is all about.

Work has begun on the new Glentress Visitor Centre
Glentress car parks are currently a bit of a mess, but the trails are all operational. The £6m state of the art visitor centre is due for completion in Summer 2010.
Nightriding is back on again at Glentress. The tracks and facilities are open every Wednesday night until 10pm. Head up the hill straight from work, then supper at The Hub - perfect!
Glentress Forest Expansion
Glentress has been given the go-ahead for it's expansion plans. New facilities will include: cafe, changing facilities, toilet block, showers and a new visitor centre. The new visitor centre will accommodate the osprey viewing centre.
Dawyck Botanical Gardens, nr Peebles
Dawyck’s new state-of-the-art visitor centre greatly enhances the visitor experience. It has a lovely little coffee shop and you can easily spend 3 hours wandering around the one of the most amazing gardens in the world.
The 7stanes site has up to date information on the trails at Glentress and Innerleithen and MTB-Borders is a great site for local biking news.
